Headed to Lake Meridian this morning for the first largemouth trip of the year. Only saw a few cruisers close to the bank. The water is still cold at 57°. I did not get a bite today after fishing for four hours. Use plastics crank baits & jigs. Fished deep and fished shallow and did not see any beds.

Great day fishing and beautiful weather but a poor day catching. Great day fishing and beautiful weather but a poor day catching. I’m going to Lake Washington tomorrow so I’ll give it another whirl.

Pre-spawn is winding down and the full moon this Sunday should kick them into spawn mode, especially with these temps! 57* cold? Are you from Florida?? LOL just messing, one of my all time best largemouth trips was in 46* water! I usually get really excited when the water hits 52*. It's been my findings that 52-60* is the prime "pre-spawn" temps. Get back out there...before the big girls drop their eggs!

52* is what I wait for, for many species.

8theB8 is right, I've been crushing the largemouth for a month, get back out there , I stick them with spinnerbaits, jigs and swimbaits.

Thanks for the info. guys. Seems like fishing really slowed the last few days. No luck on Lk. Wash. today and didn't even see a bass.
