Fished Lake Stevens for kokanee on Saturday for the first time this year. Had lines in the water probably around 6:45am or so. There was a big crew regatta setup that bisected the lake, making it difficult to go from north to south and vice versa, so I fished the south half most of the morning.

There were a few tough periods of wind and rain in the morning , but the weather got better as the day went on. Fishing was slow. I fished until 1:30 or so and only managed two. They both came on a pink splatter sling blade dodger and pink spin & glow bead rig with pink Gulp maggots. One at 25' and one at 50' on the downriggers.

Most other people I talked to weren't doing too well either.
