I got to Honeysuckle launch with my boys at 1pm and we were fishing 20 minutes later. We ran 3 poles on the downriggers and one pole straight off the back with 3/4 oz weight and 130 ft set back. The down rigger rods were between 40 and 50 ft. I kept my speed at 1.1-1.3 mph. We started catching fish immediately. One pole was set at 41 ft on the downrigger with a Kokabow Talon(orange) squid and a Kokabow flasher. That was the hot pole and got almost twice as many bites as the other rods. I only had one of the Talon squids so I ran other gear on the other poles which all caught fish. Some of the other lures were a pink Apex and Macks pink Cha cha hoochie with a smile blade. Fishing with my 9 and 7 year old sons is fun but we lost a lot of fish but it didn't really matter because I could hardly keep all the poles baited and in the water. We had 3 fish on several times but only managed one fish in the boat each time. We fished until 2:30 and had 15 kokanee in the cooler which I figured was enough fish for me to clean for the afternoon. Fish were mostly in the 12 inch range with 14 inches being the biggest. It was my first time using my new Velocity Ninja Kokanee rods that I got at the Big Horn show and they were awesome! I also used Kokanee/Sockeye Super dipping sauce and it worked great!
