We fished Lake Merwin, it was a squally day with rain and sun. They are dropping the lake fast. We found a good bite closer to the west end of the lake and the fish were closer to the surface 10ft to 20ft down. We were fishing Yakima bait fast limit Dodgers and Macks Lure sling blade Dodgers with pink hoochies. We tipped these with pink dyed corn that was soaked in Graybills kokanee formula scent. We found letting the gear 100ft behind the boat was best. The fish averaged 14inches and seemed to be plenty around. This was a great mid day fishing trip just running 2 rods. This should be great the rest of the spring into summer.
