Toughest fishing yet on Rattlesnake, thought it was going to be my first time getting skunked in my new kayak. Got on the water around 10:30 and got a few bites but no fish until I got a 12 incher around 2:30. There were a couple other boats out pulling in a few but I was having a tough time. Changed lures a few times and finally went back to the standby rainbow pattern kastmaster and got one.

TMBob showed up around 3:30-4:00 and loaned me one of his smaller divers but I couldn't get the right action trolling behind the kayak as I wasn't able to move slow enough (he's uses a pontoon boat). He then loaned me a bigger one and I was able to make that one work and on my second pass along the far shore I had a decent size fish smash it hard, doubled my boated fish for the day, thanks TMBob!

There were some seriously strong wind gusts later in the day, at one point the wind was pushing me so fast the diver was putting a deep bow in the rod. Decided to pack it up and fought my way back to the launch.
