Fished the ebb tide this morning at PNP...trolled with the current in 100-140'. Spoons 5' off the deck. Only hooked 7-8 fish all morning (tripled that a couple weeks ago)...bait was not near as thick & water was much clearer (hmmm). Trouble is there were no less than 6-8 large seals working the area & it was nearly impossible to bring a fish to the boat. We doubled up...both keepers. I got mine to the boat & a seal grabbed buddy Aarons. We chased the seal for 10 min but to no avail..did get our flasher back though. Shortly after tide change, we were trolling south of PNP...about to leave & while just starting to bring my gear up, a nice bm grabbed on. Fight on for a couple minutes & sure enough, grabbed by seal. We chased & when they let go, we reeled what was left in. Two heads popped up so we think the two were fighting over it. Unreal. Sure wish we could put some of these to sleep permanently...can we teach the local Orcas to munch on these guys?
