There were lots of fish here. We fished in the shallow flat in the middle. In the afternoon we started getting bites. I was using a black Zoom trick worm wieghtless along the surface, and I caught about 5 smallmouths. Then we swiched to your jitterbugs which have produced slot limit and bigger smallmouths of Bonaparte in the past. This time the big ones weren't there but we did catch several on the lower edge of the slot limit. All the fish were released. Funny thing this was the first year I haven't caught a trout out of the lake.
