Since the weather was going to be nice, I decided to give Long Lake a try on Saturday. I had heard that this lake was recently stocked with some smaller Rainbows. The weather was very cold in the morning (layer of frost on everything), but warmed up later. I trolled with a few different set-ups. The successful rig was a 27" 4-blade flasher system with pink/red wedding ring. I caught three fish that were much nicer than I expected. They hit hard and were very nicer fighters. It's not a lot of fish for 5 hours, but the fantastic winter weather made up for it.
