Sunday, Munden's Rising Son Adventures fished between McNary Dam and John Day Dam on the Columbia River for walleye. The weather was cold and the fish were not too eager to bite, but we ended up finding a good mess of eater sized fish! Jigging was our primary method in deeper water, around 40 feet. Slow presentations help this time of year when the water is this cold. As the weather warms, the fish will become more active and really start biting better.
This weekend, March 10 and 11, I will be doing some walleye specific seminars at the Union Gap Cabela's! If interested in learning a few tricks to Columbia River Walleye, swing by and listen to one of my seminars. I will be booking trips at the event and will have a raffle going for a walleye starter pack valued at $100 for anyone who books a trip with me at the event!
Finally, I have just a few remaining dates available for Spring Chinook. Within a few weeks, we will start targeting these fish in the Portland Metro Area! I have April 3, 4, 6, and 7 available for seats and that will completely fill my Spring Salmon schedule! Give me a call right away and secure your seat for this awesome fishery!
Tight Lines!
