I started my day running to Stehekin to do some prospecting. Let’s just say the fishing wasn’t real good. We picked up a couple Kokanee and had one take down on the Chinook rod that did not stick. The weather was great and the wind was non existent. Just before noon we decided to head down lake and stoped just below 25 Mile Cr. We started picking up Kokanee rather quickly. We found fish between 75-115 ft deep in 250-300 FOW. We finished in about an hour and fourty five minutes. We used Kokabow Fishing Tackle In various colors(I recommend starting with pink). We also tried a Superfly in orange that produced a few Kokanee as well. I did not mark many Fish on the sonar today. Fish are still scattered but they are being found in various places in the lower half of the lake.

Now I know where you disappeared to. I saw you go past and never saw you again. What a beautiful day it was for getting out. Thanks for the report.

Yep. We made the treck all the way to the end of the lake. Had to do it now to see how it was. Now I know!

Thanks for the report, always wondered about running up lake, thanks for the info. What are you doing in terms of your Chinook rod? I was going to run one deep for koks, and a cut plug herring up shallow 30 to 45 ft down. Any suggestions and help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Sorry for the confusion, my bad. I run my Chinook rod 100-125 ft deep. I use rotating flashers with a squid. I use Northwest Bait and Scent Salmon scent. I troll for kokanee faster than most 1.5-1.8 mph. I pick up my Chinook at the faster speeds.
