Launched at Lincoln.....trolled from the ramp area toward Hawk creek - nothing on the sonar and nothing on the hooks,
hook up near the mouth, marked some, but deep 70-90'. Made a pass in and out of the bay then across to the "A" rock.
Trolled down river for about an hour---no marks, no fish. Trolled Jones area and across along the north wall...no marks,
no fish. Headed back toward Sterling/Goat farm and trolled last two miles toward the ramp...finally a couple of nice ones
17" and 19", but still not marking any fish. Called it a day about 2:30-three other boats at the ramp about the same time,
all skunks. Air temp in low 40's, water temp 37deg at the start and 38deg at the finish. Lures that worked today were
mack's beads, wedding ring and smile blades, tipped with a bit of worm with garlic and or anise scent. All the other
good and traditional trout lures and a few home made tube flies and blades left me to be the net boy today - such is
the luck of the fisherman. Color of the day was green and bright green - beads were yellow and copper. Lure depth
in the 35-40' range over 70-90'. Went through two tanks on the buddy heater - felt good when the high overcast came
in before noon.
