This report encompasses my beach fishing over the past few weeks. My primary target species is sea run cutthroat. Fishing for cutties has slowed down a bit but I still have managed to find a few here and there, just not as prolific as they were in December, I was catching 5+ per outing now I'm a getting 1-2. This time of year I start to see a lot little resident Coho ...they are a blast to catch on my trout gear, hard fighting and super aggressive. The fish this year are significantly bigger than years past...previous years they were running 12-16in, this year they're 16-20+ and fat. Yesterday while throwing my usual 1/4oz kastmasters, I also hooked into a few keeper blackmouth, and managed to land one. That was an awesome surprise and a heck of a fight on my trout gear...the beach I found her on is a gently sloping rocky shoreline mixed with small gravel and sand the Chinook must have pushed a bunch of sandlance into the shallows ...right time right place I guess, just didn't expect to hook into one let alone 3 in less than 10ft of water. All fish other than the Chinook are C&R. GOOD LUCK GO GET 'EM
