Since the Addy-Cedonia "shortcut" is a no go for getting to Fort Spokane with a boat, a buddy and I fished out of Kettle falls.
Put in a daylight with a pretty good chop out of the South, so ducked in the Colville River bay.
Had a pink Kekeda fly tipped with shoepeg, 25 feet on a downrigger, long lined a orange Rapala and a dark green Flatfish.
Made a couple laps in the bay with one take down. Sun came out and wind died down so headed out the center trolling south.
The downrigger went off, Finally, a rainbow. Got close to the boat, What the....... It's a lost wild Kokanee.
Never had a one fish day be good, but anytime a Kokanees is in the boat it is. Water was 39 degrees.
