This is my first report, but I fish on Lake Sammamish quite a bit in the spring/summer. I read all the posts on Lake Sammamish, so let me start by saying thank you to all you frequent posters! I've wanted to go out and fish cutthroat for a couple months now, but finally had some of the lures and gear to head out on Sunday. I saw a lot of boats (at least 4 or 5) fishing and as I came into the area it was obvious from the fish finder and birds on the lake there was a large school in the area. I trolled through there for at least an hour and didn't get a hit (could be the gear, the depth or something else) but after a while I started trolling North on the Eastside of the lake. Finally I got a hit just south of Inglewood Hill Road and caught a pretty nice trout. First one I've pulled out of there so I was pretty happy. Too bad my son got cold and went in an hour before I caught this one :) I was just using a banana sinker, 4" dodger and rocky mountain assassin setup. Probably was around 20 feet deep but without a down rigger hard to know exactly.
Thanks,
Dustin
