Decided to go out fishing this morning with my good buddy Lonzo. We thought we would try Offut lake since neither of us has fished this lake before. I gotta say it is a fun little lake with some nice chunky fish. We started fish just after 7:30 and were off the water by 11 with limits. We trolled 1.5 mph using hardbaits in rainbow and a green chartreuse. The fish came off the down riggers between 10-16 feet of water. We had no action on the topline rods. The water temp is really cold at 40 degrees and the fish were a little sluggish. I can't wait to try this lake when the water warms up a bit. I will be fry some fish up tonight along with my neighbor and I am sure Lonzo will make short work of his fish as well. Happy new years to everyone one on Northwest fishing reports and tight lines in 2018!
