Planned to try Sammamish for the first time with Condor and Lars. We have fished for Cutthroat on Lake Washington and wanted to try fishing a new lake. We picked Friday the 29th a couple weeks earlier, so had to live with the weather. It rained the whole time but there was no wind. We started by trolling just out from the launch and trolled North. We worked the shoreline and could not locate the fish. Then we worked toward the middle of the lake and finally had a nice hit. We worked it up to the boat only to have it shake the hook just inches from the net. The fish was a nice 20 plus incher. We ended up with two to take home for dinner.
Made for a wet day but we felt good catching fish on our first try on the lake. Will be planning another trip soon.
