I’ve been fishing several Puget Sound river systems over the past couple weeks looking for my first steelhead. Although I haven’t hooked into one yet, the fishing has been great. Lots of healthy bull trout and some chum still hanging around. I have been successful for bull trout throwing spinners and floating beads under an indicator. I will be out again this weekend trying to hook up with steel before Christmas.

No north-of-the-border numbers down here, but you can definitely find them. And a lot of fun on a 5 weight!

Actually you'd be surprised how good some of those S rivers are. ive had a few 10 fish days (but didn't land them all) down there too. Just go off the beaten path somewhat and you can find them in large numbers. Ive seen schools of bulls in a few places you'd never expect.

They're easy to catch if you put in the effort. I catch around 100- per year, give or take. Catching 10 or more in a day is very doable with the average fish around 3-4lbs and up to 10lbs.
