Thought our timing was pretty good: warm front approaching accompanied by rain. We fished through the front passage and through the rain.

One trout, one bass on and lost and one follower. Air temp was 60 degrees -what I did NOT count on was 37 degree water!

Makes sense since the creeks running into Baker and Grandy come from the snow country.

I think I’ll give it a break for awhile...

I have found that the bass on that tiny little lake can sure burrow into the grass! So what did your bass eat in 37* water :D

Cheap squarebill crank with rattle in perch/firetiger color. Toss it out, wait about 15 seconds, twitch, wait and slow retrieve to keep it just above the Weeds. Fish were close to shore.

Fellow in a small float cat caught a few trout and a few small bass on brown/red woolly buggers slow trolled.

I have some fond memories of that little lake. I fished there and camped at the little campground. My best Grandy Lake Bass was 18 1/2 inches, 3 pounds, 3 ounces. I caught 2 nice ones that day - June 19, 1992 - They both hit a white Power Grub near the shoreline cover.

My son’s best was right at 4 a couple years ago on a swimjig along the grass break about 30’ off shore. He had another good one on last year but it came unbuttoned.

We had a good swimbait bite on S-Wavers last year one day also.. No big ones but that was fun!
