Boren is my daylight savings lake because it is close to work and home. I first fished it in Dec. 2016 in which I caught a few handful of Cutt's over the winter.
I thought I would give a try since I had not been up since the summertime and arrived at the dock at 4:10pm.
Fished with a egg sinker, leader, worm and a marshmallow. First cast within a few minutes I had a bite and reeled in a fair sized Perch. Not the Cutthroat that I had hoped for. A half an hour later another bite and this time a Pumpkinseed. Nice to see a little action but no Cutt's still.
Two more nibbles and that was it and I headed home as it got pretty dark out.
I have been told that one of the two steams that feed the lake had been cut off (north one) which would hurt the Cutthroat again. I really do big if this is true or not, just what an have a heard from a few different people in the spring and summer months.
