Launched 7 bays, went across toward the rock and motored for about 45minutes looking for something on the sounder/finder, went
around the point/corner across from Lincoln and went along the flats and rocks, still no marks. Gave up and headed to Hawk creek, went
to the end and got the rods ready - one with a kekeda orange and another with a yellowish/chartreuse #2 blade/beads/wedding ring,
both tipped with 1/2 crawler - hits began almost immediately - working depth 12-14' and using 1 1/2 oz - used trig to figure depth based
on amount of line out and angle of the line - speed 1.2-1.4. Noticed some larger fish suspended in 38-48' - went to 4oz and went down
deeper - first rod went off extremely hard, went to set the hook and it was gone, but when reeling back in for a bait check the other
one went off just as hard - got a good hook set this time and whadda ya know, a real live koke !!!! Trolled deep for a while longer, but
nothing else, so came back up on top as I saw the other boats having a field day - kept three 'bows, the koke and thru back two
redband. The bite went off at about 12:15 or so - continued to troll for three more hours but only an occasional weak hit - trolling
motor battery went weak after about 7 1/2 hours so called it quits. Checked the moon rise time on Saturday morning just out of
curiosity - 12:16PM. Never have believed in coincidence.

I was catching walleye @ Kettle today and the water temp was 50.9. Your report says 55-60 @ seven bays, was that an estimate or actual?

One machine read 55.4 and the other 55.6, which was back in Hawk creek toward the launch and campground - one of the
sounders read 52,2 out in the main lake/river when I was across from the Lincoln launch looking for marks/fish.

Where did you pick the koke up at? In Hawk Creek?

Started the troll from the east end just as it opens up wider, was between the first and second point that juts out from the north bank - depth at that point was in the 60's and was down between ~45' when it hit. Had fished this area 3 times in the last 2 1/2 weeks and had seen larger fish suspended at that depth each time - finally decided to give it try to see what they were and if they were interested in my offering. The take down was awesome on both rods - it had both fresh worms in it's gullet too so I know the same fish hit both rods - at least I think so anyway. Good luck - I think we were both fishing the rock wall by haystack just about a year ago - I'm in a white north river 18' - canopy up and heater on this time of the year.
