A friend and I hiked into a river this weekend for coho. We were twitching jigs primarily but did try other methods, the water was about 4-5 ft of vis with a brown tint to the water and on the drop. I ended up going 3/9 he went 2/7. We lost alot of fish due to them being chrome bright fresh from the salt and acting extra ballistic. I had 1 fish in particular that ran straight for the tailout jumping and doing flips as it dove into rapids below the pool, this was probably a 15lb or better fish and promptly snapped me off. Both off us got snapped off and humbled a couple times today. Still we manged to get a few to hand. The darker fish were easier (obviously) to land than the new comers.
