Went out on my friends boat this morning at first light. Started fishing for lingcod and limited out on those by 9:30 am, released a chinook jack and a quillback rockfish and missed a few hits. Moved on to the next area and landed an 11lb chinook on my first drop at the new spot with a macdeep jig. A few minutes later, my friend hooked up and landed a nice 9lb chinook. After a couple hours we landed several rock sole and released a slightly undersized chinook which was landed when we were both doubled up on fish, he lost his though. After that we moved up onto a shoal and i quickly limited out on sole, then we moved back to chinook town and I landed another 8 1/2lb chinook. So that limited me out. He tried for another 45 minutes, hooked up 3 times and lost all 3 then we had to go to get ready for tomorrows coho trip.. Great day on the water, our kill box had to have weighed close to 50lbs. Definately the stuff memories are made of.
