9/18/2017 1:21:25 PMThe west side of the park is great for both sides of high tide - I noticed that I snag weeds during both ebb and flow, however at high slack the weed scene is a lot less. No luck for me on that sandy bit (the part closest to the parking lot on the south end of the park).
The north side of the park is pretty much the only bet during outgoing low and slack low tide. Right at the point where the Colman pool is - you can visually see where the water current splits - just watch the waves. At low tide it's best to fish north and east from that point, but not too far east.
I see guys twitching jigs out there all the time - but all the fish I've brought in were on holographic spoons or buzzers.
I use to fish out from shore at Golden Gardens a lot - and had some good luck out there, but we moved and it's a bit of a drive now.
Maybe I'll see you out there sometime, tight lines!
