Launched the boat out of Shilshole and had a line in the water by dawn. I started off with green glow flasher and chartreuse glow hoochie with a herring teaser, but only manage a shaker on that. I switched to a red racer flasher with herring aide kingfisher, then back to the green glow flasher, this time with a green wiggle hoochie w/ garlic bloody tuna scent.
That was the ticket!
Landed a 4-5 lb coho hen around 7am. Twenty minutes later the same setup got bit hard. As I was reeling it in I thought it might be a king, but it was a nice 29" hatchery hen coho to round out my limit by 7:30!
Both fish came between 55-60ft down in about 180 FOW, right in front of Shilshole on a line between meadow point and west point.
Could easily rate it five stars, but I only got to fish for an hour and a half!
