Another day of fishing, and no catching for me (0 for 3 on trips out here this season). I was on the bank around 6:30 PM, and fished until there was just enough daylight to walk back to the car without a flashlight. With the tidal exchanges not as crazy as last week, I saw a lot more consistent surface activity today compared to last week, but the fish are still in no mood to bite. Tried everything I have in my tackle box; slow presentation, fast presentation, shallow, deep, you name it. I did get my presentation into a couple schools that ran by, but no luck. They have their autopilots set for their spawning grounds, it seems.

Heads up -- This week marks open season for tribal nets on pinks Sun-Fri (http://wdfw.wa.gov/fishing/tribal/2017-18agreement.pdf), so yay... I didn't have the heart to drive downstream to see if the nets were in today.

The fish have been heavily coming through but not biting for me either upstream. I've seen very few fish legally caught, I'm one of the few people actually trying to hook fish in the mouth, seems like 90% of the folks fishing are snagging and retaining, including people on boats too (never seen that before). The fish just aren't super bitey, but they're definitely in there. Hopefully the bite comes on soon.

I finished up just as you were starting. I got absolutely nothing and tried a loth of things. Saw a lot of rollers, and 3 pinks snagged by the guys down river. Another guy did get a nice legal strike on a pink jig with a white head. Unfortunately it spit the hook. Nice guy however as I talked with him for a while.
