The Duwamish opened on Sunday the 20th. I was actually surprised to see the number of kings jumping and rolling. However, I saw nothing else. The guy next to me went 1 for 3 with 1 king landed and released. A first timer came through and we coached him for a bit and he did land a small king that he released as well. The 1 for 3 guy did a really nice job explaining how to identify a king. All were taken on pink buzz bombs.

I tried drifting for a while with nothing and switched to a buzz bomb as well as it picked up. Had one small hill, but didn't set the hook..

I not shocked that there are no pinks yet, as only a few have been taken from shore in the salt. I haven't seen what I would call a school yet, but am encouraged that the numbers are picking up to the north and expect that mid sound is just a week or so behind schedule.

I'll give an anonymous shout out to whomever came through and weed whacked a number of the fishing spots near the shore. Nice work and thanks!

Similar opening day for me. I had one nice size king around first light (that was released), and a nice size pink buck (that was released as well). Only saw kings rolling all morning, still a bit early for the pinks to shuffle in it seems...
