As I had planned, headed out of Shillshole Launch around 1 PM. Went up to the oil docks and fished there with not much happening. Picked up and moved to the south end of richmond beach. Spoons were not working so changed up the gear. Put on a Gibbs Moon Jelly flasher, boy was that pretty in the water with the sun out. Also a yellow and orange goldstar squid skirt around the 42 inch leader. Fishing in 120 feet on the off side of the point, 85 feet on the downrigger, and within minutes had a chinook on the hook. Good fighting fish, with very strong run. Water conditions were perfect, clear, sunny, tide moderate, and the fish on the screen looked good. Could not entice another bite and had to leave around 5. that is it until next year for chinook. Will be out chasing some silvers. We have released quite a few 6/8 pounders that were wild in the area. Hopefully a few will show up with clipped fins.
