What started out as a really slow day actually turned out to be a good day. This was my third trip out this season, I got blanked on the first two so I was especially determined to land something other than a sucker. First couple holes and runs produced nothing so I hiked on and found some new water. It looked prefect, just like every other hole, so I threw the float right on the seam. First drift through and fish on! Landed a 6.5 hen. I moved down to the next hole and threw out the float right along a big Boulder and it gets yanked under right away. Landed another little hatchery hen. Lost one more fish and saw 2 more holding in pretty shallow water. Nothing better than steel in the summer! Fish on....
