Our first trip to this lake was back on July 20th, which by the way, happened to be the only day it rained here in the past month and a half or so :( On that day we spent about two hours in the morning fishing from the public boat launch, but only managed to catch some seaweed fish and over hanging branches.
Today however, we took the boat out and had a much better time. We started off with some chartreuse plastic worms and then switched to powerbait. We got there around 0830 and got a few bites right off the bat, but didn't land our catch until around 1045 or so. It was a small (around 6") Bluegill. We enjoyed the trip and the weather as well.
