My wife and I put the boat in the water at about 1:30 at the Honey Suckle launch. We headed out into the lake and had 3 lines in the water a short time later. I ran two lines on the downrigger with silver 4 inch Mack's dodgers and pink smile blade hoochies tipped with maggots. One downrigger was set at 35ft and the other at 45ft. The third line had a purple money maker with a silver dodger. I put 2.5 ounces of lead on it and ran 110ft back. No fish for the first 20 minutes or so and then we found a nice school and had consistent action for the next 1.5 hours. I just kept making circles through the area and the poles kept getting bit. IWe caught a fish on every rod and had several doubles. The kokanee varied in size from 11 inches to 14.5 inches. We ended up with 7 in the boat and probably another seven that got off. The fish were schooled up between 30- 50 ft. It was hot and muggy with the sun barely making it through the smokey air but we had a great time. We packed up at 3:30 and head back to the launch. These fish are a lot of fun to catch and the meat is still vibrant orange and great tasting.
