Silver is one of my favorite lakes, but I just can't catch that BROWN that I desperatly want on my line. I invited my friends Mike and his girlfriend Karen to go fishing with me. This is also a beautiful lake to visit, camp(tent, cabin), and of course fish. Big BROWNS,TROUT, catfish, perch and bass can be caught here(from the dock and boat). We started from 730am to 6pm. We rented a boat and didn't have a motor so we had to row all over. The lake isn't too big that rowing is no promblem to get from one place to another.(A motor is best for trolling for long periods) We trolled from one spot to another using wedding rings w/worm, and big black wolly fly. Unfortunatly no strikes of any sort.;( At our still fishing spots we had some strikes but the fish would strike only once and our power bait would be gone. We used rainbow, chartuse(plain, and glitter), green, corn and bobber w/worm. overall the day was fun. The weather started out with rain sprinkles for half and hour, then overcast most morning, then cloud breaks and full sunshine in afternoon. Fish count :Mike two, Karen one, and me zero ... My friends had fun and I did too. I will keep coming for the chance get that BROWN, some day it will come. Good luck to all that fish here!!!
