First time fishing Lake Sammamish. Hooked up with my nephew and began fishing at 6:45 am. We both used sling blade dodgers and I used Reli lures Elgin Fishing God's Tooth kokanee trolling rigs in 50/50 gold, 50/50 blue and I put on some pink moon jelly tape to make a 50/50 out of that. Nephew was using Reli lures diamond flash spinner 50/50, red diamond flash spinner and a Cotton Candy Kokanee trolling fly. Most of the fish were caught at 50'. We each used 14" leaders and we tipped our hooks with a worm. God blessed with us hooking into 14 fish and losing 4 in the process of obtaining our limits. The fish ranged from about 12" to 18" and were great fighters! The wind was definitely a factor. We finished at noon.

The video below shows some action for the day and wishing all tight lines!

Great report. Both Lk Wash. and Sammamish are on fire for cutts right now. Thank you for sharing your trip with us. I have had excellent luck in both lakes with your spoons. May God continue to bless you guys.

What's the name of the down riggers you are using?

They are Scotty.

Is there any other name than scotty like scotty depth master or scotty 1085. The reason I'm asking is my down rigger sits at an angle unless I put a piece of wood under the clamp. Your down rigger seems to sit straight up and down on your boat.

It looks like you have a scotty 1025 right angle side gunnel mount that the down rigger sits on. A couple of clamps with a bar in between to reinforce it and keep it from falling overboard.

I didn't buy the riggers new but made a trade. They are older but look identical to the Depthmaster 1050. I did buy the clamps new though at Ted's which are the Scotty 1021 brackets. I then screwed on a base plate and the rigger just slides on the base. I use some wood on the outside of the railing that the angled part of the 1021 attaches to. Hope this helps!
