My fiance and I made it to Loon again, this time in the morning rather than after work. We were on the water and trolling by 7:30 A.M. Again made it to the southwest side of the lake. I decided to make a few changes to my hoochie rigs the night before. I made sure to actually measure all of my leaders, we fished either 12" or 14" leader. 12" seemed to be a better bite earlier in the morning and then the 14" started hitting more consistent from 10-Noon. They were built the same way, pink smile blade, fish egg colored body beads and pink squid body, 2 red Gami hooks tied close together. Now i think it is more than likely just a fishing coincidence that there was a severe change in hit consistency, however i figured the more information i can give the happier all of us fishing nerds are. We were also running a green and pink sling blade dodger (14") and white/pink fast limit dodger with the (12"), Home made corn with some tuna in water added, with Graybills' garlic and salmon scent. Trolling at about 1.5-1.8 seemed to be the best bite, we got takes at slower speeds but it wasn't as consistent. The water temp was 74.1 and got up to 76 by the time we were off the water at noon. We managed a limit we sever lost opportunities, largest was 13" (of course she caught it.) We also caught fish at 25 feet the entire time, never had to change once we found that is where they were, we fished from 45-90 feet of actual lake depth and still managed constant bites. I would also like to throw out a plug for REDD Drift apparel for the bait towel hook up! They make some pretty snazzy hats and shirts, if you are interested in checking them out they are a local company that a good friend of mine created for a side hobby. I will add a link to the bottom for those interested! I think that covers it, tight lines y'all
