Up & at em this morning at daylight. Got one chromer right away at 35" down. Thought "game on". Nothing for the next 3 hours. Saw maybe 6 caught the entire day....100 boats in the north end & 50 down by the dam. WFDW wardens on their boat said 0-2 fish average. We fished the north end the first 2.5 hours..both sides. Then 1/2 an hour down by the dam. Just dead slow for us & from what I saw. Anybody have better luck?

I've done the baker lake fishery before and to be honest it's a bit overrated. I feel that they need to try and bump this run up to where we see 75,000 to over 100,000 fish returning to the lake then we could experience a way better fishery. Way to much pressure on these fish right now from netting to fisherman. Don't get me wrong though I still remember when there wasn't even a fishery for them but now that we have good numbers I think it's time to take it a step further.

Agree & interesting. Last year, with only 5700 into the lake we bonked 10 on the opener...super fishing. That said, I've spent more time up there trolling for nothing than catching....fun experience though. Back to the salt for me!

Dang! Not hearing a lot of BOOYAH from Baker lately. Think I'm with kurtkettel and headed for the salt. Anacortes (MA-7) looking pretty fishy lately.
