Tried for kokanee on Kachess. Lake level is dropping about a foot a day, the ramp at the NFS campground is now out of water, but you couldstill launch with a 4WD rig. Others said they limited (16 per person) in a few hours. We got out at 6:30 AM and gave up at 9:30 with no bites. One other boat had two. We were trolling at 1 mph with ford fender flashers and wedding rings, one at 80' on the rigger and one at about 60 feet with 2.5 oz of lead. Tipped with maggots, smelly jelly and you name it.

Locals say the schools are big, and are about 80 feet down in 250 feet of water. Use a dodger and wedding ring with white corn. From the launch go south about 1/2 mile and follow the 250 ' contour south. Maybe that will work for you. Local ranger also says she catches big browns fromshore and picks up burbot suign large bread balls on the bottom

Beautiful day with my son anyway.
