I'm reporting for about 4 trips here.
So ive been working on Everett and need med a place to fish that wasnt too big..Cassidy is nice. The first time I launched my float tube I was instructed to go right off the launch...so of course I went left. Throwing my go to lure Topwater rapala f3(usually go black but Sportsmans only had purplescent) I caught around a dozen bluegill, bass, and pumpkinseed. Took me 3 hrs to get toward the end and though I saw a duck coming at me from about 200 yds out. Looked away and looked back and realized the duck was coming directly at me at high rate of speed. Then I realized it was beaver and its a uncomfortable situation in familiar with from other small lakes. So I bailed out while he slapped his tail and swam back and forth...really uncool! Biggest bass I caught was around 12".
So I went left the next time and have every time since. Always catch around 12 fish. I get my best bass either by the long dock to the right of the bird houses or in the very corner where Catherine Creek runs out. There is a stretch that's my favorite on this lake so far and it produces all but catfish and trout...can't give that out yet. I've caught 6 crappie in this area that have all been from 10-12+"..and I normally get them trolling my floating rapala..sounds crazy but I can tell you it works! This lake is great for these 4 species! Maybe one day I can get past the beaver and hit that end of the lake..heard there's more crappie and bass down there. Special thx to Shawn, who I met out in the hotspot and gave me KVD ocho worms that I caught a nice 3-1/2# bass out at Benson lk last weekend with! Ill be back in a few weeks! Tight lines.

Yep, I've been fishing Cassidy for over 50 years. Never caught anything to brag about but always have had fun. The only real change is the sunfish who weren't there years ago. I love the wildlife.

Good reports. i use top water rapalas there for bass, crappie, and sunfish. I got with #5 or #7 sizes and have used a countdown #7 there with some success. Haven't gotten anything huge this year but there are some 16-18" bass in there but 12-13" isn't uncommon and crappie are lippable got a 10" last week. You might try Gardner Lake by Granite Falls its very shallow but has bass and sunfish in it.
