Hit the lake with my float tube using my usual Topwater f3 rapala black. Caught a small bass a few bluegill and a pumpkinseed but everything was small. So from the launch I went left about 100 yds then decide to cross the lake and fish in the shadows. Not much luck. A new friend gave me something to try so I did. It was translucent green with black flake KVD pho worm. I normally don't fish plastics but I needed a change. I hooked it texas rig with no weight and on the second cast I hooked into one. I landed a 3-1/2# bass and it took about 5 minutes or so get it. I use a real light equipment with 4 # line just for times like this. It pulled me around before it tired out. Some people were working on a house and stopped to watch me and its the only proof I have! I normally don't bring a camera but I will for this type of fish from now on. I'm glad my buddy gave this plastic! Tight lines!
