Later start than we wanted (my fault) but got to the lake at 7am lines in water 15 mins later, headed north to the first point and began trolling in 40ft-50ft of water parallel to the coast heading west. Way less fish marked on the finder than last weekend, took us a while to locate anything. About an hour in we got a good hit on a hoochie setup and landed a nice cutthroat, got the lines back in and about 45 min later roughly same place hooked into another cutthroat, this occurred one more time and then it died. We were aiming for kokanee and I'm well aware its tough without downriggers but i know its not impossible, any tips on reading them on the finder or targeting them would be great! We were happy with the nice Cutts though! One fought like hell :)

jigging them might be your best bet if they are not near the surface.. find the schools and drop down with jigs and jig up and down and see what happens..when they hit the jig no doubt you will know it.

Sam on Chelane is using Weights with his rods instead of down riggers and is slaying them. I would PM him on Facebook and have him go into it with you. I am sure not an expert at it either.

Typically on your finder Kokanee will show their air bladder are red or yellow. This isn't always the case depending on how well turned yours is. Many times the solid marks are in fact kokanee.
