First day ever trying specifically to fish for Walleye. Accidentally caught a walleye last weekend, so figured I'd try to target them. Drove boat up to Porcupine Bay, marking fish mostly under 20 feet, so figured I'd start there. Trolled bottom bouncer (1.5 oz) with spinners and worm trying to keep boat at the 15 foot mark. Most of the fish were caught coming off the flat coming around to the hard drop. Color did not seem to matter much. Landed 1 large yellow perch as well. Landed one nice rainbow. Hooked two other, including 1 I thought was a salmon till he finally came close to the boat and spit the hooks out. I think he was laughing as he swam away. Landed 6 keeper Walleye and let go as many 10-11 inchers.
