My wife and I decided to give Lake Washington a try. I've been drawing blanks the last couple of outings. Launched out of Atlantic City ramp at about 8:00 AM. Much to my dismay there was a rather stiff North wind blowing. I knew my wife would have trouble steering the Alumiweld Stryker, but off we went. Set first downrigger at about 25 ft. and had a fat 14 inch Cutthroat before my wife's gear was even in the water. High hopes! Fished one side with corn and the other side with nightcrawers.
Ended up with 4 keepers, one Cutt in excess of 20 inches. Two Kokanee provided dinner for us tonight. Wind continued to increase until about 11:30 and then dead calm......too late for us.
Fished from Mercer Island to mouth of Cedar River.

Nice Job! That's a big one! Yea that north wind can be a tough one when it's blowing! Way to stick it out and put fish in the cooler!

I also went out both the 19th and the 20th Agree the wind made it a bit tough but I followed the advice offered by salmonberry .I- we used those pink assassins back 80 down 20-25 on the wire 1.5-1.9 otg speed and limited out on rainbows and Kokanee both days I was the White whaler with the white flag on antenna tomorrow we will be pulling the old goats for some of those cuttys....

When the fish in Lake Washington decide to bite is can be great fun. My 16 Stryker makes one really work hard steering in any .kind of wind. Congrats on your success.
