Well.... Sturgeon fever has hit Roosevelt. My usual launch that has never had a full parking lot had rigs parked in the weeds along the road because every spot was full. More boats were fishing North of Kettle Falls than I have ever seen in one day. And I now understand why.... we landed 6 on Sat and 8 on Sun between the three of us. We didn't have luck Mon only because we ran out of bait! 40 to 80 lb braid with 8 oz sinkers and herring or squid did the trick for us.... and 60 FOW! And FYI.... herring aren't durable so bring more than you think you'll need! We didn't keep any but did snap a few pictures (please don't judge.... it was family time!) although many were keepers. Smallest was 18" but the majority were all around 40".
