Took a trip over to potholes with a buddy for Father's day weekend. We both have never been to this lake and is something we wanted to experience. Got there early Friday morning and fished all Friday, Saturday, and Sunday morning. By far the biggest lake we've been on and it could certainly be overwhelming at times. We went with the intention of targeting both largemouth and small mouth bass and did just that. We had success catching both but by far more successful with largemouth. Probably because it's what we're accustomed to catching. For never been n the lake and not knowing what to expect we feel like we did fairly well. On Friday we caught 9 largemouth with my buddy getting a nice 3.5. Saturday morning we went back at it and I got a nice 4.74...such a fun fight. Saturday evening We went over to the rocks for small mouth and caught 3 on a jerkbait. Also got another 3.5 largemouth..just can't get away from em. Went out early Sunday before we took off with little luck..just 1 fish. All in all a successful trip. Caught probably close to 20 fish. We caught the bulk of the largemouth on either jigs or senkos and off wood. One also came on a swimbait. It was a very cool lake
