Got out on the shoreline at about 10AM between Daisy and Gifford. Threw out a hook and worm and let them sit for about an hour on the bottom with no luck. I switched one pole over to a jig and grub with a bit of worm on it and started jigging from shore. On the first cast hooked a beautiful 23" 4.5lb Walleye. My personal best so far. The wind picked up as the afternoon went on and created a ton of white capped waves so we headed on home.

This report technically shouldn't be rated as a 4 based on the number of fish caught but the quality of the fish bumped it up a little higher for me. You know it's going to be a great day when your Fiance wakes you up and is eager to go fishing AND you catch your new personal best record. I'm such a lucky guy.

Nice fish. Is that a male or female?

Nice fish. I learned the hard way that wind blowing in will roil the water and the walleye will move in closer to pick off bait fish and crawdads the wind kicks up. Try that sometime.

That is a very interesting tip...I'll definitely keep that in mind for trying new tactics next time. Thanks.

Nice fish. Good fiance that lets you weigh and clean your fish in the kitchen. Definitely a keeper.
