Well on the lake for the first time ever. Visiting family here and I'm from s.c . My father-in-law took my son his (grandson) and I camping at conconully state park, he fished off the bank for trout while my son and I trolling for kokanee in a small John boat of my father in laws. I've never caught a kokanee before and never trolled for then either but watching videos and reading bent hook pontoon reports I gave it a try. Didn't have down riggers so I use snap on weights. 3 oz weight and 40 one foot pulls put weight on and did another 40 pulls. Used a pink hootchie with corn dipped in red spike it . We caught 6 and lost one at boat not bad for a guy from s.c and never been at this lake before. It was pretty cool with about 20 mph wind straight up the lake from the end to state park , it was pretty rough. I seen two other boats trolling so I kinda fished the area they were fishing. We were almost in the middle out in front of liers cove where we caught most of the fish.
