Launched at 8 am on the south end near Coulee Dam, windy but a great sunny day expected. Trolling down riggers and staying down about 20 foot to hopefully keep the new releases off our lines. Ha that didn't work, first thing on my line! Trolled the rocky cliffs near Eden Harbor down toward Spring Canyon. Saw fish on the sonar at 20' to 100' so dropped one side down to 50' the other at about 30'...no bites. Not many fish showing up on the fish finder so trolled back and forth out deep and in toward shore but didn't get real shallow. Stayed in 60' foot of water and deeper. Saw a few silvers but they were spread out in depth and just couldn't seem to be in the right place at the right time. Debris in the water got nasty! The wind changed direction and the debris field which had been confined to the center of the river was now everywhere. It was a mess. Called it quits about 1:30 pm after trolling across in front of the Dam a couple times and not seeing anything on the finder. Beautiful sunny day, but pretty windy the whole time and with the winds comes the movement of the debris in whichever direction the wind blows it. Talked to the fish counter at the dock, she said she was at Keller earlier and reports were the same there, no Kokanee.
Will try again in a day or so...actually looking for a cloudy day, it seems that the nicer it is for us the worse we do catching fish. Still it was another nice day for a boat ride.
