Only Caught one Largemouth, but still had a good day after numerous days of getting skunked elsewhere. The fish wasn't that big but he was very aggressive. My lure had barely even touched the water when he hit it. It took me a moment or two to digest what had happened until I realized I had a fish on the line. It was almost like trout fishing with a dry fly, in this case I was throwing a "Tiilapia" colored Plastic Cabela's Crayfish Texas rigged with a 1/8" oz. worm weight. The action of this lure looks very enticing on the fall as it has multiple appendages that oscillate as it free falls under its own weight.
I was fishing from the shore from the park. There seemed to be some good spots there. I feel if someone had a boat they could do exponentially better. I plan on coming back with my buddies 12' Aluminum. My only complaint is there seems to be very limited if non existent parking access. I was greeted with a 100 dollar ticket from the city of Black Diamond when i returned to my vehicle.
