Caught a juvenile Largemouth on a 2" Storm Swim minnow. The lure was clear with a reflective insert and a some red on the nose of the lure to imitate a bleeding baitfish. It was very windy that day so using an ultralight setup was tough but i still managed to get one fish. This lake has clear water compared to other lakes so I try to use more natural and lighter colored lures. The fish was caught near a drop-off with some structure, which is where they seemed to be lurking. I have fished this lake a few times with no luck, but this time around I managed to pull out a dinky Bass. i get the impression that this lake is heavily pressured. There are several spots around the lake to fish from, but having a boat would unlock spots that dont get fished as heavily and may hold some large fish.

At least you have a personal best for that lake. I think I only fished it one time and got pretty lucky. That was a long time ago on early morning, August 20, 1983. I was fishing from a canoe and making long casts with a silver Rapala and caught a 22 inch, 6 pound, 4 ounce lunker. She was released.

I don't think the lake is fished that often as no boat launch anymore. I used to live by there and you see some people fishing from dock by emory's and on docks by swim area but don't see many boats on the lake.
