It was difficult trying to figure out what rating I should give it..a 5 is misleading in some ways. I caught 3 fish that probably weighed a total of 7.8 pounds with one being my new pb at 7.43! So in the 5 hours I was out there the fishing wasn't exactly "awesome" but I caught a massive fish so I'll take it any day. I had high hopes with hitting the lake before the storm coming in on Thursday but it did not start out very hot. Didn't get anything for the first probably 2.5 or 3 hours then got a very small one. Decided to switch sides and techniques and that turned out to be a great plan. Probably 20 minutes into the new spot I throw a senko in the pads near a log and instantly it was on. It was hard to tell if it was big cause everything feels big when you're also fighting the pads. Then she decides to jump and hot damn I knew I had a big one then. Now I'm tripping trying to keep my cool and making all kinds of deals with the Lord if he lets me land her haha. Jumps 1 more time and just a really solid fight and I'm able to grab her and get it in the boat. Instantly I know it's gotta be a pb. Went 22in long and 7.43lbs. bigger then my newborn a couple months ago! Get some pics and let the beauty swim away. What a day
