This is my first report after being a devout reader over a number of years. We left Wenatchee at 7am , and launched at Northrup around 9:30. Ran across to Barker and fished for a couple hours with just a couple short biters. It was already starting to get hot and things did not look good there so we ran back to the Punchbowl. Stuck with the Super Slow Death in yellow/green and still nothing. Moved into 10-13 fow and changed over to purple/red SSD. About 1:30 we picked up 3 keeper size wallys and a good smallmouth when Linda boated a nice 37" 7 1/2 lb male. The bite was still on but by that time it was just plain hot, and no wind, so we packed up. Post mortem on the big male showed his stomach virtually empty. Good trip good company.

Thanks buc, I am an old time salt water guy, just trying to learn the game. Fresh water is a whole lot more complicated...thus a whole lot more fun. Have a good Memorial Day.

Great report! Thank you. All the bases covered, and a beautiful fish to boot! It sounds like the fish are finally starting to show up. My last few outings there have not been particularly good, but it has been more than a month ago now. Welcome to freshwater. It is addictive!
