Fished the southwest end whith a gold rapala original floater, the first fish was a healthy 15" cutt that I released. I caught a couple small bass and trout doun in the log jam I kept 4 of them (2bass and 2 trout). I used them for bait at my secret spot. I was trying to get this monster bass that had to of been 10lbs+ but no such luck a big 2-3 pounder chased after one of my 3" bows but didnt take. She was spawning like all the bass in the lake so there was little I could do and on top of that she was deep so I couldnt annoy her whith a jig very accurately. Down at the other end of the log there was a 12" bass that didnt bite annything untill I tossed out a blank hook and jigged it in front of her face and that was the only thing that she bit at. She was spawning so I tossed her back quickly. Didint even see the big bass this time.I know its out there, one time during the koke kill a month or two ago I had caught a 2 pounder at the spot and the big bass actually came up to it as I reeled it in and nipped. I released that one and picked up a dead koke and put it on a hook and every cast the big guy would come up to it but never struck.
